Medical Director Speaks on Physical Wellness and Mental Health

Medical Director Dr. Josephine Young represented Premera at the Regional Leadership Conference in Action: Placemaking, presented by the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. She provided valuable context regarding the health and wellness implications that accompany persistent feelings of loneliness and isolation. Her commentary on this point helped provide background for the comments of the three other panelists, representing Climate Pledge Arena, The Seattle Foundation, and Seattle FWC26, ensuring that those assembled had background on the problems panelists are working to solve. She also spoke to the importance of inclusive ‘third places’ that are accessible to all and can help facilitate and foster community connectedness.

Dr. Young also shared insights on the work Premera is doing with de-stigmatizing behavioral health issues, especially our work with the Seattle Kraken.
